The FPS (First Person Shooter) Certification is designed to certify Rescue Squad members with skills in ground combat. Similar to our Fighter Pilot Certification, candidates will undergo a series of exercises showcasing their combat abilities. The breakdown below provides an overview of each rank and the expected actions the candidate must complete to achieve that certification level.

PLEASE NOTE: Full adherence to the Rescue Squad One uniform policy is required. Failure to meet expectations will result in the removal or demotion of the certification level.

RANK 1: Achieving the first rank means the candidate demonstrates the basic skill sets of "FPS" gameplay. The candidate is able to complete a bunker mission on any planet without any casualties, including on-site civilians. The candidate will have completed the "Eliminate Drug Stash" bunker mission or another consignment mission at the discretion of the proctor.

RANK 2: Upon achieving the second rank, the candidate will complete an assault scenario alongside other teammates to demonstrate their reaction timing and ability to move quickly while engaging targets as part of a team.

RANK 3: The third rank is achieved after the candidate has successfully demonstrated their ability to breach and clear a ship in space with teammates. Opponents will be in a variety of armor sets.

RANK 4: Achieving the fourth rank requires the candidate to successfully demonstrate their ability to respond to a beacon bait that involves a hostage situation. The candidate must showcase their ability to make smart tactical decisions in a scenario in which other lives are at stake.

RANK 5: The fifth and highest rank is achieved after the candidate has shown exemplary skills in ground combat and has finished in the top 3 in Arena Commander matches. Unlike the previous ranks, this rank can be contested by a RANK 4 member who wishes to challenge the highest-ranked member for their spot in that rank.
