PVP Policy

No PVP allowed as a ranked member except for:

  1. As a ranked member of RS1, you have the right to defend yourself, your party, fellow Org members, and/or a client against all attacks.
  2. PVP hostilities around existing, in-game, missions or game features are allowed so long as no engagements take place with the intent to cause grief.
  3. PVP pirate activities, "beacon baiting," "pad-ramming," or other similar activities are not tolerated.
  4. Certain events, such as Jumptown, allow exceptions to the PVP policy, but will be made clear by members of command before the rules are waived.

Encountering Beacon Baiters

Beacon baiting is the process of faking a medical beacon or preventing teams from reaching a casualty for the purpose of trolling or loot farming. We will unfortunately come across it.

While the desire for revenge in such instances is strong there is little to be gained from returning to the scene and RS1 members should consider if it is worth putting themselves in danger of further griefing. Doing the same thing will often result in the same effect; this isn't to say you cannot go back to recover your gear or remove the threat but put thought into your method and do not grief the griefer in return.

If you encounter a beacon baiter you must not engage them in global chat. If they have a crimestat you may pursue that or if they send a second beacon that may be attended. Attending with more team members is highly recommended.
