*** OLD SOP Merged with Ranks Policy ***

For members at or above the rank of Pathfinder, inactivity in the discord server may result in a reduction of rank to a minimum rank of Enlisted. Each instance of 3 months of inactivity will result in the reduction of rank by one level, from Master Pathfinder to Pathfinder, and from Pathfinder to Lead Specialist. Rank reduction will be confirmed by a majority vote of all members of command and then logged in Promotion Tracker. In order for a rank to be restored, the individual must submit a ticket requesting the restoration. Rank restoration will only return the rank previously held, and the NCO role must be reapplied for.

The exception to this policy is an Approved Absence, which can be requested through a general ticket and requires approval from at least two members of command, Fleet Officer or above. This approved absence will not reserve the NCO role, but will prevent the reduction of rank.

Should an individual leave the server or Organisation, any reinstatement of rank will be done under requirements at the point of reapplication. No rank shall be grandfathered in.

The maximum rank of reinstatement shall be Senior medic as NCO positions and above are limited in number and must be applied for in the usual way.

Once restored, any "time in role" calculations begin from the date of the reinstatement ignorning time served before leaving the server.

In rare occurrences, reinstatement may be denied by a command vote if the individual has behaved in a manner that would bring RS1 into disrepute during their absence - i.e by being part of a pirate or known griefer org, or by the method of their leaving/reinstatement, this may be appealed as per rules governing a discipline appeal.
